Just can’t take the thought of methotrexate any more.

I could not tolerate Methotrexate, others have no issue. We are all different and react differently to the drugs. Speak to your Rheumatologist, let them know you cannot take Methotrexate anymore. There are lots of other drugs you can try. Unfortunately, it is trial and error. Hope you find a drug you can tolerate and it works wonders for you. Wishing you well.

Thank you all for your responses to my question about methotrexate. There’s a lot to think about and evaluate.

My doctor order sulfasalazine & I’m up to 3 pills, twice a day with lots of water. My daughter has been on sulfasalazine (1tablet a day) for 6 years bcz she has Crohns. She’s had no problems with it either.

Hi JuJu,

It was the same as Tiena for me. I couldn't take methotrexate. Keep trying different meds until you find the right medication for you. I'm now on Rituxan infusions which I tolerated better than all the other medications I tried.
