I'm really sorry to hear that you're in so much pain. Chronic pain, especially from conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, can be incredibly challenging. Here are some insights from the knowledge base that might resonate with your experience:

- Pain Management: Many people with RA find it difficult to manage their pain. It can be overwhelming and affect daily activities, making even simple tasks hard to accomplish.
- Seeking Help: It's important to communicate openly with your healthcare provider about your pain. Sometimes, it can be hard to describe the intensity and location of the pain, but being as detailed as possible can help in finding the right treatment.
- Mental Health: Chronic pain can also take a toll on mental health. Feelings of frustration, sadness, or even a desire for "quiet darkness" are not uncommon. It's crucial to seek support, whether through a pain management specialist, a therapist, or support groups.

If you haven't already, consider discussing your pain management options with your doctor. They might be able to adjust your treatment plan to better address your pain.

I get Baker's cysts. They both have burst before even though it's rare. It is so painful especially with RA because the fluid just keeps on coming and not dispersing into the body. I had a synovectomy done on my right knee in 2018. I don't get the cyst in that knee anymore, now the inflammation goes out the front. It helped, but I think it's done when nothing else works. The left one burst in 2021 and it was awful. Cortisone shots may help. I got one and it alleviated the inflammation somewhat, but not enough. I told my doctor I need something to kick it out! I took 2000 mgs of Naproxen a day for a week and it worked. I think doctors should understand that we sometimes need a more heavy duty approach in order to stop inflammation. I guess I'm telling you all of this is because Baker's cyst are no joke. Be careful. Ice helps. Wrap them up in bags of ice or use an ice pack. I found some good ones on Amazon that have velcro. Diclofenac gel is good, too. You can put that on any joint. I still use Naproxen, not such a high dose (500mgs, 2xs/day when needed) and it helps with lower back pain as well. I take Percocet, too, for pain. That's not so easy to get, but it sounds like you need something stronger! I Another thing I found out during all of this is I have osteoarthritis in my knees. Have they checked xrayed your knees? I get gel shots every 6 months now and it helps tremendously. I hope you get some relief soon.
