Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Mixed Connective Tissue Disease? I
It’s 2 or more autoimmune diseases that overlap.often lupus and RA
I have Undifferentiated mixed connective tissue disease. My Rheumatologist said mine is listed as this because of so many different symptoms of multiple systemic autoimmune diseases.
Mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD) has signs and symptoms of a combination of disorders — primarily lupus, scleroderma, and polymyositis. Many people with this uncommon disease also have Sjogren's syndrome. For this reason, MCTD is sometimes called an overlap disease.
RA and lupus are very close related as I was told by my rumt. At Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville. I have both ,but same meds. Also Sjogrens. Shortens has been the hardest for me by for. Please excuse my typimg. My fingers are pretty bad from RA.

Thanks for the good vibes Elyse! Good luck with your health issues too!
Yes, Carol. I agree 100%. I hope you’re doing well post surgery. I actually blocked the person “correcting “my rheumatologist and GI diagnosis. It’s challenging and overwhelming trying to figure out what’s happening to the different parts of my body, as you are more than aware of. I agree…medicine isn’t like math…not 1 answer/1 size fits all. I hope your doctors are able to help you deal with the various issues. I’m doing pretty well today. Hopefully things will continue to improve eventually. I know it could be much worse….sending healing vibes.
