Fatigue of RA literally steals your life. I was also very active until this disease came along. Now it is a fight to put one foot in front of the other but you just have to keep plugging away and do what you can.It is difficult when you wake up just as tired as you were when you went to bed.Good luck to all as we are in this fight together.

Yes. It’s hard to explain to anyone who doesn’t understand. You know you want to do things but you just can’t muster up the energy to do it and I find when I do try to do anything I can’t seem to focus to get it finished. Yesterday I just felt drained of energy all day. Ended up going to bed in the late afternoon. Just couldn’t get it together at all. I know what you’re experiencing.

I have RA since 2010 and my Vectra score was at 95% which is high as the disease can go . I have been at death's door. I still work full time and try to pretend that I feel well. It is very difficult for people to understand this disease because you look okay from the outside. My specialist prescribe Infusions every 4 month with Truxima. It has definitely helped my pain and mobility issues, but the fatigue is still there. I force myself to get up a couple of hours early to lay in a heating blanket before I get in the shower, just so I can feel like working. For me I think you have to use a lot of mind over matter with this disease. Rheumatoid limits everything in your life to a certain degree, but you have to stay positive and fight it mentally with everything you have. If I feel like I need to rest, instead I will take a walk or do stretching exercise. This helps your mental stability and your pain and when I need to rest, I do so on a Sunday to power up for the upcoming week. I guess what I am saying is stay strong and fight like hell to live your life to the best of your ability. DON'T GIVE UP.
