Hi everyone. I'm about 10 weeks in on Orencia injections and I have begun to notice the difference. It is working. My inflammation and joint pain are down. My energy is returning and I'm more active as a result. Feeling more like myself. Still listen to my body and rest when necessary. I'm down 10lbs this month because it has been easier to move and I've been able to walk further and more often. Hope you get good results as well. 🙂

Mike I’m sorry, I don’t have any suggestions I’m feeling your pain I’ve only been seeing a ra dr for a year but have had RA for many years. I have just now started on the injections praying they work I feel your pain if they don’t find something to help me fast I’m scared of what the future holds for my quality of life. I’ll pray for you also.

I took the Humira for 6 months it got my inflammation down from 104 to 89 it is supposed to be 30 for normal. It's called Sed Rate it's a blood test, My Ra took me off of that because it wasn't working fast enough.I Also have Lupus.I don't know what else I can do,I have been through so many meds and now I'm on nothing so I suffer with my pains silently.Any suggestions?

Humira like enBrel is a top tier drug. They are both extremely expensive. They are both wonderful drugs. They are both taken at home by self injection. pencils. Someone said Orencia - it is not self injection. Its given via IV in ur Dr's office. Takes a couple of hours. If it quits, its because ur body built up antibodies against it. You can try Remicade, i have been on all 4 of these meds. Remicade attacks from a different pathway. It also comes in 3 flavors, 350,, 500,, and 750. I was on the 750 which can take up to 3 hours to complete. I am now on Humira because my ins pays for it. Medicare will NOT. Medicare will only pay for any drug if its given in your Dr office by a IV RN. Humira has been very good for me. I am also on MTX [methotrexate] and Celebrex and Prednisone. Prednisone is the magic pill. It will kill any inflammation anytime of the day. Its that good. But-- a ton of side effects.
You must have a top shelf Rheumatologist for this, its not kids stuff.
