It sounds like you have a complex medical history with multiple diagnoses. Here are some key points from the knowledge base that might be relevant to your situation:

- Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA): Known for causing joint pain, stiffness, and swelling, especially in the hands and feet.
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD): Includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, with symptoms like chronic diarrhea, bloody stool, stomach pain, weight loss, and fatigue. There is a strong link between IBD and rheumatic diseases, including RA.
- Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA): Often linked with psoriasis and can cause joint pain and swelling. It has a connection with IBD, and similar genetic mutations might lead to both conditions.

Comorbidities and Treatment Considerations:
- People with IBD and psoriatic arthritis may have similar genetic mutations.
- Biologic medications, such as TNF inhibitors, can be used to treat both psoriatic arthritis and IBD.
- Managing multiple conditions requires careful coordination to ensure that treatments for one condition do not worsen another.

Important Notes:
- Regular consultations with both gastroenterologists and rheumatologists are crucial for managing these conditions effectively.
- Staying on top of treatment for all conditions is essential to avoid complications.

I hope your doctor is a rheumatologist. Trust your doc and follow his/her advice exactly. This has helped me survive 36 years with RA n pretty good shape. Good luck Deborah.
