Tremors With RA
Does anyone experience this issue? I take medication to help it. My RA doctor sent me to a neurologist to see if I had Parkinson's disease. He ruled that out and said I had an Active Essential Tremor. I asked my RA doctor if my RA was what caused my tremors but she said no. So if anyone does what it would like to know you're coping with it.
Hi I’m New,
My name is Dorine. I have had essential tremor for about 6 years and R A for about 3. There is a group on fb that offers support for Essential Tremor. It doesn’t usually cause pain, but it can can make life very inconvenient. In my family it runs on the dominant side. I have it on my left side, my brother has it on his right and our grandmother had hers on the right as well. I can no longer write and I use weighted utensils. No pain for me at all thank goodness. RA gives me enough when it flares.
I don’t know why my RA doctor she said no RA wasn’t the cause. I left hand is the major area. I notice it more if I get nervous. I’m learning to deal with it.
I've had RA for 16 years. Enbrel worked for me for a while. It seems the more different drugs I'm trying I've noticed like a jitter like shake that feels like it's coming from the inside out. My right hand shakes noticeably here and there but I figure it's drug related. I've told my RA doc and she didn't say a word about it but she's good at that about any symptoms I tell her about! She flat out refuses to believe the rinvoq caused my highly elevated liver counts and was not happy when I refused to keep taking it!
I’ve had essential tremors in my left hand for as long as I’ve had RA.
