Does Anyone Power Lift? How Does That Help/hurt Your RA?
Hello! I have RA and i have begun power lifting a few months ago. I train twice a week. Mostly I do squats, press, and deadlifts. I feel I am gaining flexibility and strength. I take methotrexate.
Just wondering any pros or cons from other RA patients that power lift.
I do my own exercise routines when I swim. Transition between hot tub and cool pool helps to bring down the swelling.
I'm also hoping to swim again. I'm getting laser surgery on my eyes and hoping it will improve my eye sight. I love free style and to join a seniors swim team.
I've been doing a lot of the weight, core, and strength classes on the Peloton app several times a week for a few months now and have not had any adverse effects. I have felt better and stronger. (I also stretch a lot).
Slow and easy is how I lift weights and swim. Both keep me moving.
I want to get to that place of lifting weight and going to the gym. It is really supposed to help. My Physio therapist said it is possible. Good for you for getting to the gym. Your post is so encouraging. I was told slow and easy with all exercise.
My Bloodtests Don't Show I Have RA.(It Doesn't Show Up In Some Peoples Bloodwork) If I Have A Flare-up Is That Not Going To Show Up Too?
Can Bursitis Of The Hip Be RA Or Is It Osteoarthritis?
I Am Always Reading That Ra Is All Joint Related. Does Anyone Get Fatigued And Hurt All Over Like The Day After A Car Accident With A Flare
