Covid-Vaccine

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
East Meadow, NY

I am hearing that the covid vaccine is not as successful for people with RA and other auto immune diseases. Has anyone heard this? I have read 2 articles attesting to this and my friends aunt who has auto immune got tested after receiving both doses of vaccine and they found no trace of the vaccine antibodies.

Interesting...so am I...this is what President Trump was saying when this first came out, but everyone with the exception of some professionals would disagree. There are doctors etc who believe this helps. My friend got Covid when it first hit so everything was unknow. He was on a ventilator for 3 weeks. He called his wife after the last week saying goodbye because he thought that was it. Because the president signed Right to Try, he got the Plaquenil the next day and within 4 hours he could breathe. Go Figure! What the government does not want you to know!!

I have been tentatively booked for a Pfizer booster in October and will probably get it. I want to do anything I can to protect myself. We have the Delta variant where I live and the numbers are going up.
