Has Anyone Had Found Relief From RA Pain By Using Acupuncture?
I am considering adding acupuncture to my remedies. I am curious if anyone has had relief in using this.
I LOVE ACCUPUNCTURE!!! I am so excited that Covid restrictions are easing so I can go back to it. I have tried every biologic I possibly could....Enbrel, Xeljanz, Stelara and a couple more with no relief. I am now on Rinvoq which is supposed to totally disable my immune system, yet I'm still in a ton of pain, have constant headaches and fevers and this stupid nausea never stops. Seems that my only relief from RA is from something that causes more pain.
I tried it early on after my diagnosis but did not find any relief. It also wasn’t covered by insurance so after paying out of pocket for a few months-I stopped. Works for some people-I think wenwould all try anything to find relief! Good luck to you!
I tried it, but it didn't do much for me
I've tried full body acupuncturist and didn't do a lot for me. But the VA I go to has a chronic pain center. They have been using Battlefield acupuncture. Tiny 📌 that are put at the 5 pressure points on the ear. They stay in for 3 days. With that, I'm pretty much pain free. The pins look like the red pin above, but are a little smaller. They put small round band aids over them.
Google Battlefield acupuncture.
What also helps is deep tissue massage once a month. Yes they do hurt a bit. Next day I feel great.
I've just been recently diagnosed with ra but been going to acupuncture for over 3 years. I find that it helps me sleep better and alleviates my pain. You have to find a good one with experience.
