Is the steroid prednisone. That will do it. I cannot take that so I refuse

Steroids will put on the weight in long term use. If I ever have to have steroids the just do for a short period of time. But everyone's bodies are different.
Ugh- I don’t even like looking at myself in the mirror anymore. Prednisone does help with the pain and inflammation but for me I packed on pounds and got super emotional. I stopped taking it almost 2 weeks ago and finally lost a whopping 2 pounds after barely eating. But I have to admit - if I have another bad flare I’d take it again. This disease sux!!
