I was diagnosed with RA about 6 years ago. I've taken Methotrexate, Arava, and Prednisone over the years with varying degrees of success. Many on this site have other illnesses besides RA. Autoimmune diseases bring along many other problems with it. They seem to be coupled together like a train. As you travel through this life with RA I have myself many other things. I started with RA, then came Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis. I know have Psoriatic and Spondylosis, all types of Arthritis. But unfortunately there’s more. I’ve been diagnosed with several colon deceases, i have to have a Colonoscopy every two to three years. Each time I have to have polyps removed. I’m waiting for tests to come back now from five polyps removed last week. I have Iritis effecting my eyes and recently I was diagnosed with diabetes and portal hypertentsion.

Sjogren's has flares just like other autoimmunes. Dry eyes, dry mouth, dry skin. It hangs around for a while then lightens up for a little while.
