all of the blood tests I had came back negative. RF, CRP, ESR. However, obviously swollen small joints, tender tendon connections, family history going back 3 generations, MRI with significant joint damage = a diagnosis of sero-negative RA. Sometimes diagnoses are by exclusion, not inclusion.

I have sero negative RA where all my blood work is negative for RA but I have moderate to severe inflammation in my hands, shoulder, knees and feet. Pain is horrible! I get Norco which it doesn’t cut pain. Waiting on Simphoni infusion, it’s been stuck with Humana ins for months! I’m praying I get it pretty quick.

Yup but my diagnosis was psoriatic arthritis without actual psoriasis and all labs are always normal. I was diagnosed based on symptoms and family history.

All of my blood work was negative ( seronegative)
Imaging, joint examination and questions confirmed RA
Now had ultrasound of hands, additional diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis
