Methetrexate
Have any of you got a preexisting lung condition and been successfully treated with Methetraxate? What alternatives were you offered?
I didn't have a lung condition but now have a nodule in one lung caused by RA, so Metho didn't prevent it forming. I am no longer on Metho as I now have liver problems, the jury is still out as to whether it caused it or not.
Does the module hurt. How long have you got that. I thought modules only were on ur bone. 😞
Hiya..
Not used that one, but have found Montelucast very effective in controlling the mucus production in my lungs. I take one 10mg tablet at night.
Been on it for over 10 year's for my severe brittle asthma.
Also use a symbicort inhaler, as my preventative.
The hospitals Respiratory clinic, asthma nurse reccomended that one after I'd worked my way through all of the usual asthma steroid inhalers, without success.
The Symbicort inhaler is usually used for COPD patients. But they've found it effective for difficult to control brittle asthma.
Since I've had that & my asthma action plan, rescue meds of Erythromycin 500mg 4x daily & 40mg prednisolone at home.
Ready for asthma flare ups, it's avoided the frequent emergency admissions via the resuscitation dept, that I'd experienced for year's.
Hope that info has helped.
I've purchased my own oxygen saturation monitor from Amazon.
Cost about £18.. but been worth every penny.
As supposed to monitor my SATS & peak flow 3x daily.
So get a heads up, when to step up my preventative inhaler doses/use my ventolin inhaler.
Only thing I have found for lungs is Pneuma Zyme an all natural healing supplement. Makes me breath better with COPD 2
I have been useing methotrexate for years now never had any problems yet
