Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery
Has anyone chosen to pursue cosmetic surgery of any type while well controlled on a biologic? Did your rheumatologist and/or Plastic surgeon approve or were you denied based on RA? Thank you for any input.
If you are on an immunosuppressant they wont perform most cosmetic surgery.
It's funny (not really) there used to be a time I thought I would be able to do some cosmetic "enhances" to try an keep my youthful looks. RA changed everything, I would never willingly let anyone perform any type of cosmetic "enhancement" now, way to dangerous. It's not worth it, infection is not pretty.
SamH, yeah, surgery would require stopping the meds for a time.
