Does Anyone Have Still's Disease And Does It Make Them Vomit?
I was diagnosed with still's disease in 2011 and have been on and off all kinds of meds since then. Middle of last year I stopped them because I was getting sick all the time and could no longer handle giving my self shots. I recently got sick and did a short course of prednisone but have started throwing up again and having sweats. I don't have any other symptoms like I usually do when I have a flare such as rash and joint pain. So is this stills related or not?
Cindy please see a Gastroenterologist for your vomiting please. Ask your Dr for either Phenergan or Zofran. Most people that take any type of chemos with take antiemetic medications. That what these two medications are. Please please see a GI Dr tho. Something could be going on in your gut like an ulcer or Diverticulitis or anything so please see a Dr. EVEN YOUR PCP CAN ORDER LABS AND X-RAYS TO CHECK YOUR STOMACH OUT. JUST ASK.
Cindy I thought I had on your site to see a Gastroenterologist and A Cardiologist The vomiting needs to be checked out for sure and a good GI Dr will help with that. Also with stills you can get inflammation in your Pericardium sac around the heart and inflammation in the actual heart muscle Myocardium. Good lucks. Hugs and 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻✝️ prayers to you.
Cindy being tired with an inflammatory disease is normal. Some days your fine and aren’t so tired and other days you are really exhausted. Try to exercise to keep your joints moving. Even small walks a couple times a day is better than nothing at all. Do range of motion exercises too take your hands and fingers thru their normal movement Same with your knees and feet. When you are walking walk a little faster than normal to get your heart rate up. When you are exhausted take a nap if you can and make sure you get plenty of rest. Lindy. 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻✝️♥️♥️♥️
Still’s disease is rare form of arthritis that can come and go or just stay. It causes fever and a rash Inflammation of the wrists knees hands and feet. It can also can cause inflammation of heart and other organs in the body like the spleen liver. I would suggest that you find a good GI Dr to see why you could be vomiting so much. Especially when you’ve stopped all you’re medications. Also I would find a good Cardiologist for your heart since Still’s disease can cause problems with your heart. Prednisone can be very rough on the gut and can cause destruction itself that’s why I suggest a Gastroenterologist.
Good luck to you and I hope you can find something that will help with your vomiting. You don’t need that on top of everything else.
