Does Methotrexate Help? Or Are The Possible Side Effects Too Risky?
I am new to RA as just diagnosed a few months ago. I have yet to start the Methotrexate because of the possible Kidney side effects. Can anyone give me any advice? I also have a lot of other issues but am committed to changing my lifestyle.
You can drink alcohol. Unless you are a lush. LOL. My RA doc said since I dont drink alot yes I can have wine or an occasional drink. He said just make sure I dont do it within a few days of my bloodwork.
I’ve been on methotrexate for a month now. Started with four a week and now up to 8. I’m feeling really good but the 48 hours after taking it is dry heaves. Any ideas on how to take it to avoid the nausea?
Do the self injections no nausea
Methotrexate is considered the gold standard for RA treatment and management. Your doctor prescribed it because he/she feels the benefits outweigh the risks. While some may not tolerate it very well, some have awesome results! Hope it goes well for you. All the best. ♥️
