Do You Think This Is A Nodule Or Deformation?
I haven't seen a rheumotolgist yet, I am having to wait til the end of January. They seem to be very busy and overbooked. Does this look like a nodule or the beginning of a deformity? It showed up basically overnight a little over a month ago. It never goes down in swelling. I did not injure myself to cause any inflammation. Any advice about this to anyone that has had a similar occurrence would be greatly appreciated.

@A myRAteam Member could it be like a ganglion cyst? Instead of your wrist, where most are found, could it be in another part of your hand? Just guessing
@A myRAteam Member looks like a swelling or inflammation that can lead to restricted movement. My question is: is it painful? Is your movement restricted because of the pain? Or, is it like a nodule without pain? Doc can help with both when you see him but try not to worry about it for now. I know....easier said than done.
It looks just like my knuckles, I second Marna's comment above.
Looks kind of large to be a nodule. Nodules on hands and fingers are like hard small lumps. Painful when pressed on. Looks more like your knuckles are inflamed. Mine look like that too. Dr should be able to give you steroid injection if it hurts, otherwise wait for other meds to calm it down.
That looks like inflammation to me. I get that on my first/second knuckles too, especially if I overdo things.
