Members shared mixed experiences with Remicade infusions for rheumatoid arthritis, with many describing years of effective relief and minimal side effects, while others developed allergies or found it stopped working over time. Several members explained the infusion process in detail, noting it typically takes 2-3 hours with pre-medications like Benadryl and steroids to prevent reactions, and many felt tired afterward but appreciated the relaxing environment and symptom relief that followed. A recurring theme was that everyone responds differently to biologics, with members encouraging the original poster to advocate for their comfort level, ask questions about alternatives, and know that insurance coverage and cost assistance programs are available.

Well you can go up to 10 vials but you better have great insurance as it's not cheap.
I was on it for 7 1/2 years and it was Iike I didn't have the disease.

I am currently on remicade infusion. Yes it takes 3 hours. But I find it relaxing to sit back and veg out. They always give me coffee and a snack when they start and lunch before I leave. I feel like a new woman after the treatment. Unfortunately I think I am getting used to the dosage and will have to up the dosage or find something new. But I have had no side effects. I have been on this for two years. I have had no problems this is one of my favorite medicines so far. I dread trying something else.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask me specific questions and I will do my best to answer them all.

I'm on Remicade infusions along with methotrexate injections. Haven't been on for very long. But haven't had any bad side effects that I can tell of. Good luck

@A myRAteam Member he is wanting me to do them, I'm not ready to do infusions but he is being very pushy. I think it's to soon and I should try another biologic before a infusion that's what makes me so nervous.
Thanks everyone for your stories and advice! It helps so much!!
