Has Anyone Else's Ribs Become Painful To The Touch, Constant Nausea, Extreme Pain In Neck And Back?
I have been going through a new flare now for about 2 weeks even after an extra shot of @Methotrexate! I have severe pain in my neck and back, nauseated and my ribs hurt! Not to mention the normal aches and pain. I have also developed nodules on my big toe and little toe on each foot. Anyone else have nodules? Sorry for the long post, just had a rough two weeks and so so tired of this stuff!!! Thanks for letting me vent! :)
I do have neck pain in the back of my neck. I hate it. Feels really weird. Normally on the right side and I hv to roll over on left side. Also I have alot of RLS restless leg symptoms. Ot dives me insane and keeps me up all night.
I have neck pain sometimes but maybe you need something more other than mtx? 2 wks a long time for a flare and your dr could prescribe something to go along with what your taking
I have extreme neck pain (my most painful set of joints) every time I have a flare. It also gets really stiff. I've brought it up to my rheumatologist, in the past, but he said it's the ligaments, not the joints that are inflamed. I don't believe him. My neck pain happens when my other joints start screaming, i.e., when I'm flaring. I then start prednisone and within a couple of days, my neck pain and stiffness are gone. I can't comment to the rib pain, though. I think those are possibly the only joints that have been spared from inflammation. I hope you get to feeling better!!
Is the pain on a particular side of your neck? I've been having pain on the left side with tinnitus, vertigo, tingling sensations on the left side of my face, headaches...especially in my temples, pressure and a pulsating hearing loss like my blood pressure is high. I had an MRA of my neck, MRA, MRI of my head. I only have results for my neck....it showed my left vertebral artery is "much smaller" than my right and my left internal carotid is narrower than the right. I've felt like I was flaring for a while. Im wondering if this could be caused by inflammation in my arteries...arteritis. I'm 56 and don't want to have another stroke (I had one with my first pregnancy). My dad had a massive stroke at age 58. I'm just saying.... get it checked out. Don't let the dr brush off your concerns. Get some steroids for a bad flare...at least to see if the pain improves....
I just realized what you are describing sounds like a broken bone (s) or rib with the pain, nausea. If you have Osteo, bones/ribs can crack easily. Coughing badly for example.
