Members connected over experiencing arthritis in their wrists, with many describing symptoms that mirror carpal tunnel such as numbness, tingling, weakness, and sharp pain that come and go unpredictably. Several members shared their personal approaches to managing wrist arthritis, including wearing compression gloves and wrist braces (though some find them annoying), using heat therapy (with a few noting ice makes symptoms worse), resting during flares, and in some cases having carpal tunnel surgery or being casted for conditions like tenosynovitis. A recurring theme was that arthritis commonly targets the wrists and hands in conditions like RA, often progressing to affect finger flexibility and grip strength over time, and that symptoms can vary widely from person to person.

Yes, I have arthritis in my wrists, hands and fingers. That's where it all began. I range from numbness and tingling to electric shockwaves through my hands and now after 6 years my fingers are curling inward and it is difficult to hold things or my fingers will lock into place. RA has a range of symptoms and that's why its hard to diagnose sometimes. I have found that heat has help me most and medicines. Good luck I hope this helps you.

I'm struggling with the same thing. In my case, I have carpal tunnel. I also have a lot of osteoarthritis in my hands. Because of this, my hands are sometimes warm. It's winter, so I am definitely popular since everyone wants to hold my hands! :) For me, it just depends on how I feel - whether I need heat or cold.

The ends of my fingers tingle most everyday. Some nights my arms go to sleep and yes my right wrist aches too.
