Discoloration On Knees

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Amherst, NY

A few months ago I developed raised, red areas on both knees; left knee has two; right knee has three. They aren't painful, even though they look like bruises. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had this on the top of my feet but assumed it was something else.I was seeing a podiatrist for plantar fascitis and he had me wear different shoes and tie my laces differently and it seems to have cleared up. No advice on the keens I'm afraid- maybe icing? (I hate icing since it make my joint pain worse, but it does help for bruising).

I get the same discoloration on my shoulder blade area and the tops of my feet. I think it's just the muscles getting so tight they bruise the area. It become very sensitive to the touch like my fibromy does when it flares up
