Do Any Of You Have A Specific Mattress You Like? And Did You Research It?

About 6 years ago i was having such a hard time sleeping. Our 5 year old innerspring mattress actually made my skin hurt. Of course bones and muscles hurt too. I researched for months and we must have layed on 200 mattresses in the stores. I ended up buying a latex gel mattress. It cost about $2400. We bought a king. It layed great to me but my husband has never liked it. He says he's not had a good nights sleep since we bought it. I slept like a baby. Now is different. I hurt all night and… read more

I am sleeping on a 17" foam mattress for about six years now. I love it and find it difficult to sleep on an innerspring mattress. I order my foam one from Overstock.com. It has varying degrees of foam and when you lay down it conforms to your body to give you support everywhere. I have RA, Fibromyalgia, stenosis, bulging disc plus too many other things to add. I bought a queen and only paid $699 for it. It is starting to get soft on the sides and I need to buy another. I noticed an add for one called Leesa but it was more than I can afford to spend. i haven;t done anymore research to find a good one but I will before I buy another.

I was really fed up with the springs in the mattresses breaking through, even the expensive ones did it, so I went to the foam shop, asked for the firmest that they had and ordered a deep one, I had seen that the sheets were being made deeper, I think the mattress is about 25cm, so comfortable I would never go back to the spung mattress. I ended up buying an adjustable bed and sleep with my legs elevated. It relieves the pressure on my back and I have been retaining fluid so that helps me.

We go a split king with adjustable bed frame. It's an Icomfort by Serta. I love it. It soft and cushy. I think everyone is different and it's a matter of going to the store and laying on as many as you can until you find one you like. The nice thing about getting a split king is that you and your husband can have different hardnesses.
