i haven't had any side affects. Try taking Leflunomide at a different time in the day from the time you usually do. I take mine at 5pm

As I was building my dose to get up to 20 mg per day, the leflunomide was giving we horrible headaches. My Rheumatologist dropped my dose back down & very slowly built it up to 20 mg over several months. At that rate It took longer to get to the desired dosage , but I'm glad we gave it a good try. It's the first Med I've been on, MTX included , that has helped my pain & fatigue. I had some GI upset with it as I was building the dose, but it eventually went away.

I have been taking Leflunomide for about a year. I am dealing with diarrhea from the Leflunomide every day! It's not been much fun. Also I lost about 20 pounds. I am going to stop taking it

I'm pretty sure all RA meds come with at least 3 pages of possible side effects. It' is scary. You just have to take a gamble and hope it relieves your symptoms & doesn't cause side effects that are too much to handle. My meds came with 5 pages. i'm doing great, no side effects. If your meds cause problems you can always switch to something else. There are lots of different meds to treat RA. Good luck!
