Indusions Or Shots
Does doctor office infusions get billed as medical (on Medicare) or would my Rx part D get billed. My current meds aren't working any more.
It goes under major medical - medicare part B and then your supplemental part F. It tends to end up costing you nothing. So far for me I haven't had to pay for my Orencia at all.
I take methotrexate and mobic along with folic acid. I was doing great so thought we could back off the methotrexate but up it again.
@A myRAteam Member - wow 20 mg of methotrexate seems a lot. What else are you currently taking? I saw where your current meds aren't working. I was on Remicade for about 10 years and it was wonderful. I had to stop it for awhile when I developed a respiratory infection. Instead of going back on it my rheumy has started me on Orencia.
I went back up on my methotrexate to 20mg again. Doc would increase my mobic but wants to keep me at lowest mg cause of stomach issues possible. I got a kenalog shot to try to help calm down flare up. Dr. said after my knee replacement in June it's common for the body to have a flare up....I can understand why cause of the "foreign" invader in my body the immune system kicks in. So goal now is to calm down those little "guys " I just knew I hurt the worst since my diagnosis 2.5 years ago and sed rate & C reactive levels were at the highest. So we'll see. The kenalog shot has lessoned pain a great deal and maybe not even in full effect.
