Usually mine shows up as SuzieQ said, voice change, raspy and difficult to speak. I have to speak in a whisper to get anything out. This will last for a day or two without an actual sore throat. Hope it leaves you.

There is a small tiny bone in our throat that RA attacks. It causes swelling, hoarse speech, sore throat and chocking. Sometimes causing you to lose your breath. The treatment is Prednisone. It comes and goes like everything else. Hope this info helps. God bless.

I also have the same thing. Before I was diagnosed with RA my voice would get raspy for no reason. I was diagnosed in Oct of 2016 and my voice is still raspy.
