CBD As A Pain Aid?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Saskatoon, SK

Hello,

My sister is a naturopath... She has been encouraging me to look towards cannabis as a pain relief and sleep aid. Not so much smoking it, but injesting it through edibles. She said she is going to try and make me a topical rub for my joints with CBD oil in it. Had anyone had any experience with this ? She thinks my RA meds are causing extra problems I don't need. Not sure how I feel !!

Try it, it works. I've been on it for months now. Problem is no one can tell you how much to take, you need to figure it out. Get a fairly high powered tincture and try 1/2 to 1 dropper 3 times a day, if after 3 days you don't see results go up on the dosage. I've been on it for 4 months with 2 months of no pain and zero meds. I haven't suffered any memory loss or irritability as of yet.

CBD spray helps to relieve the pain. The cost is "loss of short term memory" while it's in my system. Bottom line I use it only when I don't plan to be around people.

I use CBD gummies for pain and anxiety. I use CBD oil foil rubbing on my joints. Works wonders in between my pain pill times! You should try it dear!😊

I was looking something for energy as the fatigue is unbearable and also for weight gain since taking Methotrexate. A friend suggested I try THCV…….supposedly it’s hard to find whereas, the THC is easy to find but not without a high. I am going to talk to my Rheumatologist about this before tryin it.

Don't think the rub works. Only gets absorbed into your skin. It doesn't reach your joints or ligaments. Expensive and wishful thinking, but can try it.
