Probably very little. Blood tests and if confirmed then he or she will try to fill you up with nasty drugs. Then send you away with an appointment for six months time.

A lot of typing from rheumatologist into computer. Discussion about your blood results and more typing. Hopefully testing your joints by actually touching you. However YOU write down your complaints and ask questions and get answers especially about mess. Good luck.

It took long time to get an actual diagnosis. Saw many Drs. then finally saw a rheumatologist that was still hesitant and I think my RA really progressed while he was being so wishy washy. If you don't like what they say, try someone else.

I see my RA every three months. First visit was lots of questions on both sides. Be honest with yourself and your RA. RA prescribed methotrexate after examine my joints. Now appointments consist of questions, deciding as a team about meds, and blood work.
