Members shared widely varying approaches to magnesium supplementation in response to a question about dosage, with some taking 500 to 750 mg daily while others relied only on multivitamins or took no magnesium at all. Several members listed their full supplement routines, which commonly included vitamin D (ranging from 1000 to 50000 units), B12, calcium, folic acid, and probiotics, with one member noting that the body absorbs only about 30 percent of magnesium from supplements. A recurring theme was the individual nature of supplementation, with members emphasizing that their doctors had not specifically recommended extra magnesium and that everyone's needs are different.

I have to take about 750 mg a day. If you take into consideration you body will only absorb tops 30% of the pill you take. This is my own configuration so I don't recommend taking what I take. Everyone is different
