I as well started with osteoarthritis. My hips and lower back have been the worst. and yes when my hands and feet started to swell that's when the ra set in. My ankles and feet swell all the time . I got a brace for my ankle and that helps . I don't know if there is a right answer to any questions. You just have to do what is best for yourself. Different things work for each person. That's just my thought .

I have RA, osteo and fibromyalgia

Thanks for the responses. I started out with AS and now have RA, psoriatic and osteo arthritises and supposedly fibromyalgia. Seems every time I go to the rheumatologist, she adds on something else. I was curious how many other people have experienced similar issues. I don't know anyone else with RA so figured I'd ask here.

I had RA first, but I would say the osteoarthritis runs hand and hand with the Ra. I have Osteo in big toes, ankles, knees, and left shoulder. Oh and thumbs, they tell me thumbs is not RA
