Pain Control Medicine.
My RA is a lot better but I still have pain probably related to damage already done or aging. I take naproxen but it doesn't always work. What do others suggest? Medical Marijuana is not legal in my state. If it was I think I would try it.
Go to a pain specialist. I have been seeing one for years. Some of the over the counter meds. cause more problems. Talk to your dr. With me the pain got so bad it was a no brainer. They work with you very well. When you only want to stay in bed because of pain, what kinda lifed is that.
I get those occasionally..they work great for me also but I'm so young the dr doesn't want me to get addicted so I only get them when absolutely necessary
I am like you - the meds have my inflammation under control but I have a lot of damage done and a ton of nodules which really hurt on my feet and hands. I use a couple aleves to function in the morning but it only takes the edge off - medical MJ is available in NJ but its hard to get and very expensive, plus a lot of insurance companies will not cover it - I hear it really does help and you do not get high because that piece is removed. I could get pain meds like Oxy or percacet etc. but trying hard not to do it.
I agree with dgdlou that a pain specialist may be worth trying. My pain is managed with celebrex and emtec, however my husband has been seeing a pain specialist for several years to routinely have treatments 4 times a year. If he didn't have these treatments he would not be able to work or function. It is worth a go. Blessings
Naproxen made me feel really nauseous so I stopped taking it after 2 weeks.
So Iām Just Curious If There Is Anyone Who Has Actually Been Prescribed Any Pain Control Medicine Besides Prednisone
