Does it help and how do you go about it with asking your doctor about it?

Marijuana is not a cure for anything but pain. As with any other drug treatment, there are State Laws associated with the physician's dispensing of medications, and personal use of drugs that are not dispensed by a physician or pharmacist. Please check the laws for your state regarding the use and legality of the use of marijuana. Most states that have approved the use of marijuana require a doctor's prescription. It is best to talk to your physician before taking or using any medication for the treatment of symptoms associated with your RA or other ailments. Sometimes taking pain medications masks symptoms that can be treated in a different, more long lasting, fashion. Wishing you well always....

I have been using CBD tincture for 3 months. It has DRAMATICALLY reduced inflammation. This is the goodness of the raw plant & it does NOT get you HIGH or contain THC. I live in CO & have a medical marijuana license. CBD is known to stop the progression of RA at the cellular level. I have conducted extensive research. I have also used CBN capsules for sleep/pain that works like a miracle! Keep in mind that you only get about 10% of the goodness of the plant by smoking/vaping. In addition, you will damage your lungs.

I live in an area where medical marijuana is legal, but the governing body of doctors has recommended that it not be prescribed because it can't be "dosed" (they don't know how much THC/weight so they can't tell you how much to take), so I take a synthetic. It makes a HUGE difference for me. I take it at night so that I can sleep and since doing so, I sleep through the night! Something I wasn't sure was ever going to happen again, which has helped a lot with the pain and fatigue. It also helped with the nausea that accompanies the methotrexate. I have been able to go off of all stomach related medications (I was on 3 before I started the pot pill).

The best way to approach the subject with your doctor is simply to ask. You are not asking them to break the law. Tell them why you are curious about it (do a bit of research beforehand so you can give concrete medical reasons) and ask if there is a way to give it a trial run to see if it does anything to help whatever symptoms you hope to palliate (for example fatigue, nausea, stress, etc.) There is no guarantee that your doctor will be comfortable with it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Although there is a stigma attached to marijuana, it is accepted as a legitimate treatment and is gaining ground every day. The worst that can happen is the doctor will say no and you can decide how hard you want to push for it, and/or if your doctor is right for you.

I hope that helps.

there was a petition I signed for medical marijuana to become legal in Oklahoma but as of yet it has not had enough signatures to get on the ballot yet I have never used marijuana but if it was legal and could be used in a way that doesn't require smoking it that could be beneficial to my condition then and only then would i consider using it.You are blessed if you live a a state that allows for medical use of it but unfortunately it is no allowed her at all.
