If you take prednisone does it leave a bitter taste in your mouth?

What I found works to really help with the taste for me at least, is to take pills the way I was taught to take my methotrexate as a kid as it was hard for me to deal with the taste as well. I put water or in the case of my prednisone I use tea as it has a stronger taste to help, I put that in my mouth first and then poke the pills through my lips and swollen real fast. I know it sounds silly but it works!! I don't really every taste the pills and it helps getting larger pills down too! Hope this helps!!

I am not on prednisone but my mother used to tell me that it gave her that metallic taste and she had dry mouth.

Yes. I try to throw the pills in my mouth with one toss and gulp something flavored. Then I do a little dance !!

I take 12 every morning they all taste nasty to me. I take 6 at a time put in the back of the throat and swallow the water twice. Then take the other 6 the same been this way for 12 years. I have Lupus and RA and Scleraderma and a lot more. I have a great medical team.

Absolutely!
I drink an entire glass of water with my prednisone and I can still taste it. I eat a chocolate pudding cup with the pill. It covers the taste pretty good.
