I am sero negative as well. MRI revealed moderate to severe RA......... and now 2 other autoimmune diseases. My Rheumatologist treats the RA the same if his patients are sero negative or sero positive. Best of luck to you

Well sweetie I think you'll find even if they find R.A. Chance on him believing is low, so many of us on this site feel for you 🤗 Because people can't see our pain they have a hard time excepting it, but don't worry darling we are all here to help and support you, it's good to find some information so you can discuss and show him the hidden disease pain. 🐝 Good luck

I imagine we all have the nodules. My rheumy told me they were an indication of disease severity. My grandma had them but was never diagnosed with RA. It was a different time.

I am sero-negative, my mother was as well, that is until she died from a massive heart attack at the age of 62. The only thing she had was prednisone and plaquinel , there wasn't anything else, methotrexate was a trial drug and it gave her pneumonia. RA is not diagnosed through a single blood test! It is done through careful examination and a thorough taking of the patient's health history as well as family history.
If your doctor is in doubt or you are in doubt get a referral to rheumatologist and end your doubts!

My ANA and Sed Rate are all within normal limits. My rheumatoid factor is negative and these tests have been negative for over a year, but because of a swollen and deformed elbow my dr had a Vectra done and it came back with a moderate number for RA. Methotrexate did not work. I had a bad reaction to abreva. I am now getting injections of Humira and at this point I feel pretty good. Less fatigue and the swelling in the elbow is down to the point there is much less pain and I can use it a little more.
