It's strange how everyone reacts differently to these drugs. I just don't get it. It just seems like every time we start a new one it's a shot in the dark. With all that I read about it I've concluded we all must be mad, desperate , and or very brave. Funny I don't feel mad or brave!
I took Enbrel for 2 months developed injection site huge whelps. No improvement either
On site reactions- I had big bad welts from the epi pens. i switched to pre-filled injections and no problems ever since
Enbrel gives me some relief, some days good, some days bad, some days the pain is unbearable, I have rashes also, it can be anywhere but my face, good luck to you on this journey.
Enbrel gave me terrible injection site reactions. Week 1 was the diameter of a nickel, week 2 diameter of an Oreo, week 3 diameter of a softball, and week 4 was 6 inch diameter. Starting with week 3, the doctor had me taking 10mg of prednisone a day before each shot. I finally said I was stopping the drug before I ended up with anaphylactic shock. It was the second biologic I tried. Ironically, besides the bad reactions, my joints felt great.
