I guess Rituxan is chemotherapy. The doctor told me it's used to treat blood cancer. Apparently blood cancer does the same thing RA does and makes the immune system attack healthy tissue. It makes me nervous trying it, but I'm trusting them that it's going to help me instead of hurting me. We'll see...

This is the 4th time I've taken Rituxan infusions. The scary thing is, I'm getting used to it. I had one Monday and the second one will be two weeks later. I took the day off, took it easy, and I didn't have any problems. The steroid shot gave me immediate relief. The Rituxan takes a while to start working. I'm feeling positive about it. I hope all of you are doing well! ππ

I'm trying Rituxan now. It starts with two six hour infusions two weeks apart. I had my first infusion Monday. They gave me Benadryl and a steroid shot to limit possible side effects. I did not have any problems with it. That's all I know since I'm new to this...
