Pincer Nails
Has anyone experienced problems with pincer nails? If so, what treatment has been suggested?
No not really they really curve badly, the put some kind of liquid on it after the prevents the toenail from growing back. The cells tell it to curve would grow back same or worse. They get very hard to trim as they are a u shape. I go back to the rheumatologist in the summer will ask more questions
@A myRAteam Member has your doctor made any recommendations to prevent or treat other than removal?
I have them to and related to my diagnoses of rheumatoid arthritis. I had one toenail removed already and probably another one. So not fun
My nail problems are what set me on the path to my rheumatologist and my diagnosis. I've never seen anyone else discussing this issue though. I was just curious if anyone here had heard about/seen this in connection with RA.
I thought it was just me. I think the mtx is warping my nails. I looked it up and it suggested it could be a sign that your body may not be absorbing nutrients, lung problems or medications...
