Dr. Grace C. Wright is a consultant rheumatologist based in New York City. She received her medical degree and doctorate from the NYU School of Medicine, where she also completed an internal medicine internship, residency, chief residency, and a fellowship in rheumatology. Dr. Wright went on to serve as a clinical associate professor of medicine.
In 2014, Dr. Wright founded the Association of Women in Rheumatology (AWIR), which has since grown to include more than 45 local chapters across the United States and an international membership spanning over 120 countries. She currently serves as co-chair of the OMERACT Equity Group.
Dr. Wright has been recognized as a Woman in Motion by the Arthritis Foundation and a “Rheumatology Hero” by the American College of Rheumatology. In 2022, she received the American College of Physicians Recognition of Women in Medicine award and was named a “Beacon for Better Health” by the Global Health and Living Foundation.
She has designed and participated in clinical trials, published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and lectures at national and international conferences. Dr. Wright’s work focuses on rheumatology, immunology, signaling pathways, and the impact of equity on healthcare providers and patients.
